Group Exercise

City Fit offers a variety of group exercise classes to suit all fitness levels and ages. We run classes every day of the week, so there's no reason to miss out! Click the downloads link to get a copy of our current Group Fitness Timetable.

Group exercise classes are a great way to get the workout you need in a safe and motivational environment.

You move to inspiring music, led by passionate and professionally accredited instructors, utilising group fitness programs that are fun and effective and will provide an exhilarating workout for you.

A group exercise class offers a complete well rounded exercise routine and a potentially tougher workout that training on your own. Working out in a group class can lead to better results in your fitness campaign.

Group exercise classes provide a social atmosphere where you will enjoy the camraderie in this non-intimidating envionment.

Les Mills classes

Our group fitness timetable includes world renowned Les Mills group fitness classes. These are the same exercise experiences as those offered in 1000 clubs around Australia and 13,000 clubs globally! Each class includes options for different fitness and ability levels, so there's something for every body! Les Mills classes offered at City Fit are:

  • Body Attack - a simple, high intensity (but fully optioned for all fitness levels) class which uses sports training moves for cardiovascular fitness, along with upper and lower body conditioning exercises.

  • Body Balance - a yoga, tai chi and pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling calm and centred.

  • Body Pump - the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body, using the best weight-room exercises, great music and awesome instructors to inspire you to get the results you came for!

  • Body Step - an energising step workout to sing-along music, which includes cardio blocks to get you into the fat burning zone and muscle conditioning tracks that shape and tone your body.

  • Les Mills TONE - Les Mills TONE™ is a one of a kind cardio, strength and core workout that brings new concepts and fitness innovations to really shape and TONE your body. Whether you are just starting out or an athlete looking for some diversity in your training….Les Mills TONE is your one-stop cross training solution.
  • SH’BAM™ is a fun-loving, insanely addictive, dance workout that you can’t help but enjoy…...YES, exercise can be fun! SH’BAM™ is an ego-free zone and absolutely no dance experience required. Just bring a playful attitude, an open mind and a cheeky smile. It’s not about doing it the right way…..it’s all about doing it YOUR WAY!

  • RPM - the indoor cycling workout where you ride to the rhythm of powerful music. Your inspiring instructor will lead you through hills, flats, mountain peaks, time trials and interval training and help you discover your inner athlete!

  • Body Combat - the high energy martial arts-inspired non-contact workout where you'll learn how to kick, punch and strike your way to superior fitness and strength. Discover your inner warrior and feel like a champion every time you participate.

Freestyle classes

In addition to our Les Mills classes, City Fit offers a number of classes of our own:

  • FitX30 – Short, sharp 30 minute Functional Interval Training workouts that are designed to help you with every day movement. Set in the Dynamic Training Zone (aka ‘The Playground’) and catering to smaller groups in each class allows you to have up close and personal contact with your instructor so you can master the movement and push yourself that little bit further. FitX30 helps you build strength, speed, endurance, and flexibility and can be very addictive!
  • Mat Pilates - Mat Pilates is a way to stretch and strengthen your body, primarily the muscles of the core, which span from your hips to your shoulders. The practice borrows from disiplines such as dance, yoga and classic calisthenics and is generally performed equipment-free, using just your body and a floor mat for cushioning and support. Subject to instructor availability.
  • Young at Heart - designed to meet the needs of the older population, this class promotes cardiovascular fitness, circulation, range of movement, reduces bone density loss and increases strength and balance.

  • Bootylicious - An awesome mix of cardio, strength, dance and tai-bo all rolled into one fun filled class. Suitable for ALL fitness levels. This class is run as a Pop Up or Fundraiser promotion from time to time
